Following on from the successful completion of a Level 3 NVQ in Engineering, our Windows & Doors Testing Lab apprentice, Sam Ward has taken up a permanent role with us.
During his apprenticeship, Sam excelled in his on-the-job training in every department, including testing facades at our dedicated Building Envelope testing facility, carrying out PAS 24:2016 testing on window & door products in our laboratory, and completing test reports for customers. He’s become an asset to Wintech, and one of many apprentices we have gone on to hire after the successful completion of their training.
Our Managing Director, Gailord Nepp says “Education is important, and Wintech believes in investing in its staff to ensure they’re confident in their role. Our apprentices work on a rotation basis, in every department of the organisation – from testing Windows & Doors to PAS 24, to writing up reports and other administrative tasks, as well as testing at our state-of-the-art curtain wall and façade facility and working with our onsite department on projects around the country. Our aim is to ensure our apprentices know every aspect of Wintech, to not only secure their future, but to secure the future of Wintech too”.
